We were faced along with an identical challenge laying out the kitchen inside our Foursquare. It is relatively moderate (10’x11′), and has three full-size doorways, and a great one large double-hung windowpane, which was about 30″ off the floor, in addition to 10″ off one walls.
The butler’s kitchen had cabinets with flat paneled inset doors in addition to chrome hardware. I think the wall cabinets stopped a couple feet quick of the ceilings together crown molding on best and brackets below, and I think the drain was wall mounted along with legs. The kitchen looked more like the later ones in this post except that the subway tile was still in place behind the metallic cabinets. True period style cabinets are great, though I actually think for me that they are out of the query.
I didn’t get any photos of the butler’s pantry within our favorite Ocean City house, did I? The kitchen and butler’s pantry originally had subway tile about 5 ft up the walls plus hex tile on typically the floors.
After trying many various ideas to work with it, we ended up relocating the window up and also to clear standard cupboards. Also i moved one doorway over about 4″ in order to clear standard-depth wall units, and built a custom jogged base cabinet to be able to clear it.
